Clause 7: Support

Any organization is legally bound to provide the occupational health and safety to workers or anyone else who might be affected by their activities, including physical and mental health. Accordingly, the adoption of the occupational health and safety management system enables the organization to successfully implement proper control measures to protect employees from work-related injuries and ill-health and continually improve the occupational health and safety performance

The organization SHALL determine and provide resources to establish, maintain and implement OH&S management, continual improvement and opportunities.

  • Evaluate the OH&S performance and determine the effectiveness of the OH&S management system.
  • Ensure that monitoring and measuring equipment is calibrated or verified as applicable, and is used and maintained as appropriate.
  • Retain documented information as evidence of the results of monitoring and performance evaluation and,
  • On the maintenance, calibration or verification of measuring equipment.
